Legends tell of the days when the ancient issues of Hardcore COMPUTIST were readily available to anyone who wished to purchase them.  Those days are long past but the treasures within those ancient documents have been diligently transcribed to the pages of a modern digital reference work:

Hardcore Computing eventually split into two sister publications, Core and Hardcore Computist.  Only three volumes of Core were published: All About Graphics, Utilities, and Home Computer Games.

Originally, the Games issue was planned to be Number 4, but the fourth issue was scrapped and Games became Issue 3.  The Databases topic originally planned for Issue 3 later appeared as a feature article in Hardcore Computist Issue 6.

"Core" itself became a regular featured column in Hardcore Computist.
